Once More Poem by Dava Makiah

Once More

not so much
i never want to see your
face
feel your touch
as good as dead
your memory isn't
even awake
in my head
all plans and dreams
to make this life ours
have turned to smoke
in a wind storm
lost and gone
i'm so happy now
just so you know
and i'm happy alone
but just so you know
i've found something so new
it's like blueberries
from trees in Maine
as opposed to just
going to the store.

you almost lost me but then you got me right back with the details and the last line was a nice twist I wasn't expecting...liked this.
