One Day, I'll Be Jelly Poem by Phil Soar

One Day, I'll Be Jelly

One day they'll find me shaking like a jelly
Sitting in the corner of a room
With hands just resting on my naked belly
Just like they were, when I left mothers womb

I've never been someone who lacks emotion
My mind is like a carbonated drink
Full of bubbles, like sugary commotion
And trying hard to make my brain cells think

But one day, they will find me sitting, groaning
With nothing on, and mumbling like a fool
And when they pick me up, my eyes both rolling
They'll realise that life can be so cruel
