One Of 'you People.' Poem by Richard Jarboe

One Of 'you People.'

I've been 'one of you people' all my life
People pointing fingers at me,
Trying to tell me where I went wrong.
They ask me what on Earth I want?
I reply to be left alone.

But as it is, they're on my case.
They say they'll call me any day.
You got to wait when you're 'one of you people.'
You're only hope is Judgment Day.

When you are 'one of you people, '
You better get out of town.
No sense struggling here.
Let alone what's going down.
