One Song Poem by Kewayne Wadley

One Song

Show me your favorite songs
Without a look of maybe or anxiety.
It doesn't matter the genre
Or other people's opinion.
Let's sit & listen without a look
Of embarrassment or a look
That compromises sincerity.
Show me parts of everything
you love
One song at a time.
I've undressed my ears, your fingers
Anxious in anticipation.
I promise
I won't ignore a single word.
It doesn't matter if they are songs
I've already heard, or if
They are brand new.
Show me parts of everything
you love,
Starting
One song at a time
