One Vein Poem by Lana Grissom

One Vein

Rating: 5.0

My mind is in a constant state attack
The devil is constantly on my back...with his negative...chit chat!
Spitting his nonsense game...in my ear,
Chicken hawkin and stalkin me...like fear.

My mind wanders, with thoughts of hopelessness
About how will I get my life back on track.
One drunken induced crazed 'I Iost my mind' type of bull
Changed my life....One Vein from amputation,
It was the Lord who saved me.
Not once, twice, or three, but for the rest of my life...Eternal Everlasting.

Lord I pray 'Why you don't hear me'...I cry out night after night,
Heal Me!

My mind wanders like a lost child looking for it's Mother but,
I'm the lost child, looking for her Father...my Heavenly Father above,
To deliver me out of this state of shock...being locked in the despair
Of my limitation.

'Lord God, my Father, please I beg you to deliver me from this unrest,
Sleep less nights from constant anxiety.
My mind wanders, that this is my present state of life but,
Not my fullfillment.
My father declares 'I know the plans I have for you, plans to proser you
And to not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future'
Seek Jeremiah 29: 11...to have Him further reveal
The plans he has for me!

At that time...At Last we will see His glorious mystery to this
Crossword puzzle, we have jumbled.

My mind wanders...My mind wanders...future filled with uncertainty but,
not uncertain as to whom it is standing beside me,
Giving me hope that I need to...sustain...In my mind
Of such intense...self pain.
