One week
It was June
-I was in Toronto
-heading for Chicago
Publicised was book of
-the 'Satanic verses'
Dangerous was Fatwa:
-'Kill writer…'
What happened?
-bloody was dead wave.
I failed in my trip
-as did the Sharjah coup
-brother went against brother
-in nineteen and the eighty-seven
From then until now
-and maybe long before
-and for sure long after
-is midnight, all in dark!
Hidden are from eyes
-stories such as Mosque
-King Faisal's
-forcefully closing company
-Bin Laden's
-and taking his passport
-bribing the Al Khan
-for support that came of
-Dubai's Sheikh Mohammad
Is sad to hear the wasps, flies,
-say Dubai with wiz, buzz
None of these visitors
-investors and talkers
-have read things
-similar to the book
-'Dubai' of Robin Moor

These are all historical facts about which not all are very familiar. But, who knows the reality could be more sensational than fiction. Thanks a lot, NF.
Thank a lot for reading and considering and yes...part of my poetry is recording the history for tomorrow
