Oneself.. At Last. Poem by Jodie Louise Pollock

Oneself.. At Last.

Oneself could never give in to the smouldering pain,
Oneself could never change and become vain,
Oneself could never viciously try and cause hurt,
Oneself could never again be tense and alert.

Jumpy and anxious,
Nervous and worried,
Scared and serious,
Disappeared and scurried.

Got to keep moving on,
Can’t change the past,
Don’t look back and remember,
Find and See your future, , at last.
