Only One Can Be Poem by Francis Duggan

Only One Can Be

Only one can be the best in the town
And not everyone born for to know of renown
For one for to win big many have to lose
Though losing is a thing anyone does not choose
There would not be a queen in he hive without the worker bees
And for to make a forest there has to be trees
Sometimes from a humble beginning a great life's journey began
But for to make one a celebrity it takes more than one fan
One who has only one follower will never know of much fame
And in the World become a very great name
And it is only stating a fact that is widely known
That anyone does not become wealthy and famous entirely on their own
And so may must fail when put to the test
For as is often said only one can be best.
