Orion's Song Poem by @claremariewithpoetry Clare Marie Dennington

Orion's Song

Oh hear ye
My prince of eternal light
Blessing the stars
With all your majesty
And all your might.
Dawn's ship has arrived at your feet
She has the finest of cargo
In pink floral offerings interwined in her feet.
Her daddy sings songs of the sea
But he is a river dwell
She offers a boat
And a golden harp
And four children fair.
And she is your delight
But you have sent her away
With flowers in her hair.
She would float them down the river bank
To the source of the nile
To the kingdom she is thought
Of well.
And well springs
And stubborn pride
And fatherless children
And running wild
And the wish
To weave at Dandelions
I offer you no prize, hunter.
For you are the hunter.
If you will not hunt
Then i must hide.
