Orphan Books Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Orphan Books

Orphan books

Pages of orphan books
- (ones sitting
-by trash…on roadside
-on Bathurst and Dupont)
-seem to me lecturing…!

They tell me:
- "you are made to cry
-for yourself, everyone
-on the roads, in deserts
-caves to fogs and clouds…
-as far as the unseen galaxies …"

Plato writes a lot
-relates it to be of
-Socrates

That takes me to Rumi
-Shams, Tabriz

All the themes
-minds, thinking
-come from those hidden
-or ones who were ridden
-of throne and crown as décor
-lived without a shelter
-had no roof,
-no cloak
-and no shoes…

Poor, Dervish
-wrote nothing
-but remained

The wise is with vision
-must respects the column
-regardless of the paint

Sophists are core to books
-whose were they?
-why divorced?
