Our Eucharist is the body of Christ, even tho' dead, again did rise
Our Saviour's flesh and His own blood
Our precious Lord is truly alive.
God's forgiveness for each repentant sinner,
From his tender spirit inside.
His loving heart, is vibrantly present,
Larger than any ocean wide.
When we humbly receive the Eucharist,
We receive His unselfish mind,
The thoughts He looked at life with, wise, pure and, yes, divine.
We look at others as He did… loving
Compassionate and kind
We feel and share their hurt and pain, a definite Eucharistic sign.
Jesus said 'He who saves his life will lose it'… it's lost…
A call to die to self and others… that's the cost
Holy Communion alone and feeling spiritually posh
Will earn you earthly gain, up on your high horse.
Remember 'Love one another as I have loved you'
That means we are asked to die for each other… true? ?
'If any man follow me, let him take up his cross'… too
Actions talk! ! Watch! 'Ye shall know them, by their fruit'
'Whatsoever you do to the least… you do unto ME'
Jesus is the poor, the rejected, the one suffering, the weak.
He's one with the brokenhearted losers
That's where He'll always be
With Jesus as One in the Holy Eucharist
You go out to save that one lost sheep
In the Eucharist Jesus enters every single part of me.
Possessing, ravishing, consuming, suffusing my whole being.
To the point my heart like His, through divine grace can see
Why I am blessed with crosses daily
One 'Body of Christ', on Calvary! !
