Our Independence Day An Important Chapter Of History! ! Poem by SAKISABRE Saki

After the Elections of 1970:
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the head of the largest political party
Had won with a clear majority.
The Pakistan Authority was not willing to hand over power;
They couldn’t tolerate Sheikh Mujib's reputation!
All promises given were not followed:
The whole nation of Bangla speaking People
Were dived into the spirit and vibe of a real struggle!
The Great Leader tried to keep Pakistan united under his legitimate and legal claim!
And at last He delivered an emotion speech as warnings of a struggle for independence!
His strength of political control over society was showed down:
In the streets the reaction was boiling as fighting spirit with independence!
The BULL HEADED Regime called on curfews:
Paved way for huge influx of military hardware!
They blocked supplies going to the general population!
Killings and destruction rose in the main port cities!
The important economic points of trade and education were hot!
Police and the military units were deployed in numerous areas!
Urdu and Punjabi speaking personnel rounded up Bangla speaking armed forces officers, nco's and enlisted personnel!
Forced disappearances went rampant!
On the 25th of March in an interview with Robert Frost:
Our Great Leader Sheikh Mujib still called out openly for negotiation and a united Pakistan!
AT night the Pakistan army spilled out to the streets killing and destroying everything on sight!
It was official that they were not ready for a peaceful transfer of political power!
During the early hours of 26th March1971 the independence of Bangladesh was declared!
So, The guerilla struggle officially began!
