Our Piece Of Heaven

Heaven is where the heart lies
and the heart lies where it calls home
and home is always
where you hang your hat.
So this conclusion is evident
heaven has to be a place
we call our home.

We can travel the world far and wide;
enjoy the places that we visit.
We are always thankful
whenever our travels end
and we are back where we started.
Our piece of heaven
that place we call our home.

    Though for myself of late
    it has become my haven
    more as so decreed by fate,
    there is no place I'd rather be
    than home which indeed is heavenly

    Thanks for another lovely read David (Report) Reply

    I agree with T....nothing like coming home after being away for awhile..and if it was a vacation sometimes you need a few days rest at home before you start your routines over (Report) Reply

poet Robert William Service

Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
Two more so tenderly complete:
