Owning Your Time Poem by Ray Hansell

Owning Your Time

I wake up each morning
Ready to go through my day
I have no solid plans
No options I must weigh

I take each day as it comes
No need to make plans
Because each that I live
Belongs only to this man

You see, being retired
Your time is totally free
It belongs to no one
On that I guarantee

If someone needs a helping hand
You can be there to lend one
Knowing that when you're finished
Your commitment to them is done

Your can then be on your way
Free of any obligations
Once again your time is yours
Exempt from any form of expectations
