Paddock Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Paddock

Paddock

Think I was like a ball;
Then, when child…

One could not recognise
My left, right, up and down.

I rolled and called it run
As do the spheres;
Sun and Moon, satellites.

Then, I talked with the rocks
And trees and sky…

Today, when looking back,
See my life was simple;
We lived with the nature.

Had paddock for little animals
And kept them in the barns.
Fruits and crops were
In gardens and in farms.
We, too, were of nature
With the dust and pebbles.

Now live in big city
Everything is nasty
Crimes and criminals
On the road and in house
Both senate and common
And all of governments.

They remind me of dad
Teaching us with fables
Of the sheep and the goat.

The sheep jumps and its tail
Takes some time to settle
Exposing her secrets.

The goat shouts:
"I saw your genitals…"

Sheep smiles and replies:
"I saw yours daily and
Was decent with no word! "

Her wisdom in her eyes.

Now, daily remember
My father's good lesson.

Shameless are governors
In all the continents
One can see in comments,
Media, ideas they offer.

Trump and Iran and Saudi,
Persian Gulf, Syria to Houthis
Mexico, and mass of refugees…

Weather change and hunger
The ugly war of faiths in open
Most arrows aim Muslims.

Deprived of all the rights
Indigenous and slaves!

Are we mad? Crazy?
Idiots?

I recall being warned of red hair:
"Too sexy, disaster and killer! "

Now, reading the paper
Find dumbest wear gold hair
Closes the door and then declares:
"I am ready, come to me, negotiate! "

Somebody, anyone, anywhere
Please give him a mirror
And tell him (if listens) :
"Weigh the words, then-after
Spit them with wisdom;
Stop this diarrhoea of the mouth…"
