Paradise Poem by Kimberley Keller

Paradise

Broken hearts
Dreary dreams
Where things are never
As they seem.

But there's a place
Where I can go
A land of sun
And hopeful glow.

Where stars touch down
And words fly high
And anything is possible
If you try.

The grass grows tall
The snow falls deep
The world is calm
In a summer sleep

Devils horns
Won't touch the ground
Purity rings true
A golden sound.

Soft white wings
And glowing eyes
Crush all sorrow
And despise

In this place
I am complete
I run for it
With the swiftest feet

No one knows
Of my secret place
Where everyone
Is a familiar face

And people sing out
And cal by name
Everyone is greeted
By glory and fame

Everyone smiles
Everyone laughs
The joy of living
Always lasts

Tears never fall
And frowns never break
One never experiences
Guilt or heartache.

This place is my home
My life's living breath
Where I can be found
Following my death.
