Paradox Poem by Lebo Chepape

Paradox

(image not owned by poet *)

(originally written 2014)

Love without affection
An image without detailed perfection

Action without cause
A cry without Remorse

A viewpoint without perspective
Of defined origin with no derivative

A wheel without drive
To live and not be alive
To promise and to deprive

Tears without a cry
A wave without goodbye
Accepting to be denied

Darkness with light
Reasoning without a point
An agreement without approval
A suggestion without opinions

Delight in dismay
A path with no way
Hours and not a day
Patience delay
Darkness of a ray

Shape without form
The ordinary and not the norm

Something without nothing
Nothing without a thing
Ultimately having everything
Still wanting something
Something, anything
Yet anything specific
Somewhere distance yet intrinsic

To want without a need
Plant without a seed
Therefore what's been sown can't be reaped
Follow in the lead
Distant thoughts of greed

To be nurtured and not grow
To search high and low
For something you don't know

Friends family and foes
Love lust and loathe
That's just how it goes
To find that what you defined as pain
Never really hurt at all

Knowledge without wisdom
Royal highness without a kingdom
Roll a dice with no six
Stack a pack of cards with no ace
Joker_stare right in illusion's face

Sometimes what means the most makes the least of sense
One word. Life. So much suspense

The human mind
One hell of a kind
A heaven of every treasure known you just might find

A philosophical piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely brought forth with conviction. A very strong write. Thanks for sharing Lebo.
