Parents Are The First Known Gods, To Be Taken Utmost Care! Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

There was a dispute among brothers,
.....to look after their father
After the death, due to lung secondaries,
.....of their beloved mother!

The mother had undergone
.....resection of colonic carcinoma
Three years earlier in a corporate hospital,
.....with a stigma!

She had an incidental cautery burn
.....on gluteal region
The surgeons said it is an earlier bedsore
.....with a contagion!

They didn't accept
.....it is their personal negligence,
We had no other option,
.....not to take vengeance!

There was a proverb
.....‘the one who has younger brothers
Will not get frightened
.....even for army with soldiers’!

But once the expenditure
.....was going up day by day
Brothers and their wives
.....had altercations each day!

When one says reasonably
.....who is supposed to look after,
They said that eldest son
.....have to look after the parents ever!

But one younger brother utilized
.....their services while they were active,
Once the parents become old and of no help,
.....wanted to get rid off,

Every son has the entire responsibility
.....to take care of their parents
There is none comparable to them
.....since they are the first known Gods!
