Pass Them By (Not Finished) Poem by angel lockheart

Pass Them By (Not Finished)

Rating: 5.0

When I walk into a room everyone glances up-
Then looks away quickly.
Because they think I am ordinary,
Someone who just takes up space-
A piece of dull metal in a chest of treasures.
They assume, something I try never to do
Because when you assume, most of the time,
You’re wrong.

And people can’t help making conclusions in their head.
Because if they didn’t make judgment, they wouldn’t be so high
On thinking they’re perfect, God’s gift on earth.

So they don’t take the time to get to know people,
If they think they’re less than themselves,
They let them walk on
Never knowing that they just let an angel
Pass them by.
