Past Poem by iris beas

Past

I'm sick of it all.
I'm tired of faking.
I can't runaway from the past
because I'm shaking...
I'm scared of what's next,
will I ever find happiness?
Sometimes I stop and think about what I'm doing.
Is it the right thing to do?
Will it get me somewhere good?
I try to learn from the past so I won't get stuck again
but things will never change,
because I can't find faith.
I don't want to be a follower,
I'm tired of taking your path.
I want to be a leader and find a new land.
A smile is all I ask for
thats the only thing that makes me feel alive,
If you are right there by my side,
I know everything will be alright.
