I've tried to find the places that you hide
I'd love to be one of the places that you've been
I look for you when you go away
I'm thinking I won't miss you this time
But I always see all the things you leave behind
I thought it was the end of you and me
The thing is we've never seen the beginning
You didn't see me and you were blind to what we could've been
To me you have become my favorite memory
I see you and your familiar face
I have grown old and I cannot remember you
Now I have forgotten you and all the places we once knew
Then I see something flicker in your eyes
It could be the flame that longs to be rekindled
If only it could lead us back to each other
I see the fire that lives in you
You see me for the first time
And now I know all the places that you hide
They have all led you back to me
