Patience Poem by William McGehee

Patience

I can wait a litter longer
For you to preen as women do:
And waiting, cause my mind to wander
Over time of loving you.

When waiting seemed, at times, a moment
Or then forever and a day
For you to dawn you stately raiment-
A dress that takes my breath away.

And in the waiting then I find
It is worth it every time.
