Patiently Waiting In Heaven Poem by Rachel Martin

Patiently Waiting In Heaven

I dedicate this to people who have passed away in my life. All the friends I've once known that are not here with me, as what we promised to stay together. And for everyone's moral and helpful support. I thank you. Maybe to the reader of this poem, maybe you will seek something out of what i write.

Patiently waiting in Heaven
So we can be together
Though the years with out you have been hard
I’ve always looked in you for faith and support
Once you were gone I thought that I couldn’t ever get it back
But I was wrong
Learned that I cannot always rely on friends
To be there for me
Realized how much stronger I can be
If I just have more faith in myself than ever
These past years have been rough with out you
But I seem more and more independent as the days
Grow longer
Angels and I push the Devil away farther
They know I’m here on Earth for a reason
Of yet I’m still unsure
But as I give out more faith and love
The picture that is being painted becomes more vivid than ever!
It’s like your death helped me be a better person.
And I thank you so much for caring and loving me!
Now I know that you still exist in my heart,
And I can see the days becoming brighter.
With just a glimpse of your smile.
Now feeling the pain and worry on my soul weighing
Too seem a lot lighter.
Maybe tonight I can finally get some rest.
