Permitted Seems Everything

Though God gave man ten sacred rules
Through which to live and thrive
Yet more and more we walk as fools
Hopeless to survive

Through wanton sin through filth and shame
God’s wrath is multiplied
So this is why Christ Jesus came
And this is why He died

He loves our world and all within
Its filth! He can’t abide
Yet who repent who’ll turn from sin
May in His shadow hide

We lie we cheat we steal we kill
Blaspheme The Lord our God
Reject His Son defy His will
And fear no more the rod

Permitted! It seems is everything
Nothing is too obscene
Satanic songs we dare to sing
Yet none may intervene

God’s word finds less and less respect
We see it day by day
Politically it’s incorrect
And for the world passé

Men marry men in churches now
And women do the same
But which of them to Jesus bow
Acknowledging their shame

How cunningly the foe will fight
How subtle his deceit
Even his lies are painted white
To thwart God’s true elite
