Ph: Death: Some Thoughts On Leaving Poem by Brian Johnston

Ph: Death: Some Thoughts On Leaving

Rating: 4.8

If ever I forget to wake,
Don't let me go, for heavens sake,
Just slap me hard, give me a shake!

This old retard, if I am there,
This hibernate deep in his lair,
Will surface for his love so fair.

But if I don't, then always know,
‘Twas just an early autumn snow,
I didn't really want to go.

And if you can awareness keep,
Life comes and goes with every sleep,
Death's just a veil, no need to weep .

We're so attached to earthly soil,
So fearful in our mortal coil,
Don't let mind then your heart embroil.

To dreams of God try to be true,
And know (NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO) ,
God's arms (and mine)are holding you!

I loved this one! I've to change my fav's list fast! Now this one's my favorite from your collection. A really lovely sweet and romantic poem, you'll surely leave your muse weeping if she finds this upon your leave, a really sweet poem dear. I loved the you consoled her, but don't you think even this letter of your won't keep her from weeping? I would love to address this to my muse. You've started penning from your heart! This is what touches one's heart! ....goes to my FPL! .

If ever you should leave, know that you have left your mark on those who care to read your words...sweet simple sharing of the soul. To those who sabbatoge what should be about poetic sanctuary, herein....shame on them for the tarnish they leave. I believe all poems worthy of being read...if not enjoyed, simply move on to tH next. I too, have received 1.0 ratings....but I still love My poems as 10. Like rainwater off a duck' s back.....PEACE my friend
