Picture Paradise Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Picture Paradise

Rating: 5.0

Picture paradise

Was quite out of town,
For working near farms.

Saw frozen ground
And bushes half alive.

Here, there, some trees
Scattered, had no leaf,
Same as naked orphans.

The odor of compost,
Absence of tractors,
Whisper to the crow.

Black birds flapped wings
But stalled their engines.

The cold wind, strong,
Forced the birds go backward.

I pictured summertime,
With berries all around,
Their colors in full range,
Green and brown, red.

Thinking and feeling them
Fills my mouth with water.

Search trees of fruits,
See randomly, on, off
A pear, fig, or walnut.

Amuse me, take pictures
From ice and mountains.

It is cold but with love
Follow my work of art.

In my heart fantasies
Burn and give energy,
Paradisiac, and cozy.
