It's soon after an illness you know
and home from the hospital still taking it slow
Flashbacks of the days staying there
Going in your so unprepared
The nurses and doctors all come in
Ask the questions and then they begin
Then you feel you've made a big mistake
To come here in the first place
First comes the I-V. I couldn't look
Couldn't find a vein, a few pokes it took
Thank goodness they only had one to install
Because you'd feel like a pin cushion or a voodoo doll

Very good description, one does feel like a pincushion...Unfortunately, in this state you have to be all but dead to be even kept overnight, leave alone days..Tests, surgery. nothing found whatever, it's all In and Out...And that's with good insurance.......just glad you're home and better....marci. :)
