Places We Go Poem by Martin Webb

Places We Go

Sometimes
the raw, brutal finality
of every single thing I do
as a living being,
is so absolutely, emotionally crippling

That I become
completely frozen

Paralyzed in a single,
painfully acute moment

Too crippling to
stay within

So to remain living,
I must needs
go away to other places
