Plains Of Existence Poem by A.E.J. Jordan

Plains Of Existence

Rating: 0.5

One most life altering thing to remember
An obsession to embrace not ignore
Is to be extraordinarily careful
Who or what you invite through your door

Just one slice in our wall of existence
Easily made with one dragon lady nail
May quite easily unlock a small portal
Opening up our world’s very thin veil

When a gateway is opened to our world
Next will sound the loud beckoning chimes
Calling out to the multitude of beings
A guiding song everlastingly sublime

Then a steady stream of all the “others”
That will range from celestial angels
To unthinkably monstrous demons
The thin slice now becoming all mangled

With no plausible plan to control them
Any being may trespass at will
Mind the chance for a harmful encounter
Vengeance claimed by an undead killer

From their alternate plains of existence
Deftly sliding on into our world
There are infinite plains stacked forever
Infinite beings glowing like bright shining pearls

To enlighten our world is quite daunting
I just know it deep down in my heart
Not compelled to be tested or challenged
Simply wisdom I wish to impart

Abundant signs of the “others” surround us
Translucent shapes with their airy soft voices
Everywhere-everyday if we’d just see them
To bear witness-one of life’s true divine choices

As a small child I saw and I felt them
Some traveling vast distances from long in the past
Spirits’ life pictures flashed into my mind’s eye
Like an old fashion ticker tape show

A barrage of their thoughts would consume me
Clear, crisp images of their features and clothes
Most importantly their fears and desires
A summation of their life and its woes

I’ve always marveled why each one chose to meet me
Forever melding their energy with mine
It took me years to really grasp what this gift meant
Their life and my life forever entwined

what an amazing gift you have! Your words filled with mystery and striking imagery... makes one wonder... have they already open the door? Is it a bad thing? I guess it depends on how they deal with the others... Great write A.E. Jordan.
