Poem From Long Ago Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Poem From Long Ago

We honeymooned on the Bay of Milano
In Old Napoli overlooking the sea.
Where flowers of the rarest
And scenes of the fairest
Abide on the Isle of Capris.
Sunbeams caressed us
Romance possessed us
And his eyes were only for me.
In ancient Pompeii
We spent one fine day.
Guitars played a sweet melody
And jewels of the rarest
In the land of the fairest
Touched our hearts
Back in Anacapris.
