Poetic Numbness Poem by Kale Beaudry

Poetic Numbness

The most meaningful words come from meaningless thoughts

poetic numbness with fingerlets free with mind locked

physical eyes closing while stays tap tap tap

the difference between sober and not no ones gap

for the barrier is nothing more than a riddle

and the space [entre] is no more far than middle

poet babies think truth is found in the alleys

but real men know their own minds are the valleys

forever always the answers been held

unobscured by unreality unobscured in ourselves

and killing the mind is only consequential

when hippy tools fail to seek the elemental

only my Neurons will stay where they are

because I am man knowing life isn't far
