Poetry is my shelter
from all heartaches
all bigotry
all betrayals
Like a long-lasting friend
who I rely upon when
things go rough
Just as I think of something
beautiful
I think of you
poetry
when things go rough and
I no longer confide in faith
I confide in you.
You give me light when dark
wisdom when ignorance prevails
the assurance when doubt springs
Poetry
therefore
I love you.
