POETRY WITH VENGEANCE!
A Politician had told me once,
That he too could write in rhyme
and verse!
Writing a poem was no big deal,
And he could compose, as a poet did feel!
One must have a Thesaurus and an Oxford
Dictionary,
And sing out those lines without worry!
Next place those lines in verse and rhyme,
And a poem will turn out simply fine!
So this man had begun composing in
earnest, and out of spite,
Never giving himself any respite!
Used words to abuse and to curse,
Both poets and poetry in all his verse!
He finally halted when he failed to rhyme,
Those two abusive words, to complete his
lines!
Those words were 'vengeance' and 'damnation';
When I humbly suggested, 'repentance' with
'salvation'!

(Should politics be a scroundel's last
refuge,
Why dabble with rhyme, to be confused! ?)

Raj this is so good, satirical. i am aiways amazed how you weave your political thoughts with such ease in poetry. well said in the end. Mamta
