Pointless Whispers Poem by G J Salgado

Pointless Whispers

Must everything that I attempt to accomplish wither away,
Will all of my dreams and aspirations mean nothing after today?
These things that I try so hard to do,
Do they even mean anything to you?
Why shall I even bother going down this lonely road?
It is always the same situation with nothing but dead ends.
There is no glory in it and certainly no fame,
Isn't it obvious that no one recognizes my name?
Could this very well be the cards that I have been dealt,
Left empty handed with talents unknown and without any wealth?
Perhaps my expectations are high and far too wide,
Maybe these are just hobbies or a lost outlet inside.
I have thought this over and over completely through,
I am who I am and there is absolutely nothing else that I can do!
