Poles Apart Poem by Frederick Nellist

Poles Apart

We are neighbours
yet poles apart
Separate ways
how do we start
Words never said
your smile heard
We pass each day
no contact shared
Wishful thinking
forever in mind
I understand that
you're not inclined
Magic moments or
a might have been
A story of my love
waiting to be seen.
