I've got an affliction I'm sorry to say
That I'm afraid will not go away
You see I can't help it it's plain to see
I have police officer's eyes just as plain as can be
When I drive on the road I look all around
I know who is treading over the near ground
When I go into a restaurant I like the chair in the back
Facing out with the entrance in sight it's a fact
So if you're ever walking in town and you see me there
I will see you before you see me look over here
I pray you forgiveness because it's an affliction well known
It's the years as a police officer where these seeds are sown.
