Popularity be dammed
for it is all which runs this
modern social experiment
the beautiful fare the best
the wealthy and funny second
the poor and the broken
well they are passed over
sex sells, intelligence stagnates
mediocrity be dammed as well
for it has become the bench mark
for the nothingness of tomorrow
still it goes on and on, endless
the popular uprising
may it all be dammed
