Populist Plebiscite Poem by Aaron Marchant

Populist Plebiscite

I feel it should be stated so that no one is in doubt
of the policies I advocate and what this vote's about

So nobody can later say that they had been misled
as to the implications of what was being said

I must of course, assume that everybody is inclined
to consider all the facts until they're sure in their own mind

And having so concluded will be bound by their decision
and will not renege upon it faced with goading or derision

Then between us there will be an understanding and consensus
that those that are not with us will most surely be against us
