Poseidon's Realm Poem by Lycia Harding

Poseidon's Realm

Be warned! Who goes there at his helm,
this corner of Poseidon's realm
belongs to ME.

From shiny crest to briny floor,
horizons ledge to edge of shore,
I OWN this sea.

As such, each vessel, by design,
that ventures here, is also mine.
...As is its bank.

But fear ye not! When come one's dues
a Debtor, in tolls stead may choose
to walk the plank.

Ah yes - my sea's a lovely one
but devils work is never done
so I set sail...

And soon I am sixteen again,
keen for the next adventure in
this pirates tale.
