Positive Patrick Poem by Milos Jovanka

Positive Patrick

He wasn't a very happy boy
Never played with shiny toys
He was a black cloud in his house
His mood could trap a cagy Mouse

His only friends all wore black
They ran in gothic choir packs
He liked to make out with his angst
Whacking gloom with his spank bank

His parents thought that he was strange
Thought he needed a scenic change
So, they checked him in a looney bin
Where everyone has their grins pinned

They strapped him down to cure his frowns
Taking him down to Disney town
They stuck electrodes to his head
And shocked him down a lightning bed

Now he's Positive Patrick
He's always so ecstatic
He's Positive Patrick
His smiles never static

Now he's beaming all the time
Thinks that sadness is a crime
Peppy as a cheesecake Cheerleader
Glows day and night as a Woodchipper

Happy as an upbeat zombie
Never displeases his Mommy
All his thought are made of mush
He's much more pleasant now he's slush

He'll go to college pack a wife
Live the perfect suburban life
Worry about vinyl wallpaper
As if it were a crime caper

His world's now perfectly stage
Only the background noise of quite Rage
Turned a negative to a positive
With a help of high voltage

He's Positive Patrick
Positively radiant
He's positive Patrick
His medicine is ambiance
