I have seen her pause
Pause often as she can
Pause for a breath
Amidst her chores
In between laughters
Pause.
Pause for a breath!

Never was she in a hurry.
They called her a snail.
But I think she knew well
The power of a pause
The pause for a breath!

She always wondered aloud
Why are they all in a frenzy
as though life is running away from them?
Can't they take a break,
Pause for a breath?

I have watched her live
Unhurriedly.
Living life to the fullest.
Smiling, always!
Had she never been hurt?
Had she never shed a tear?
I bet!
She must have slowly gathered herself up again,
To pause, to reflect, to breathe!
