Pray Poem by Hannington Mumo

Pray

Pray that it rises on you the sun of wisdom
That few eyes have in a lifetime seen;
Ask that your reason doesn't dull,
And that your heart remains unsullied clean.

Ask it be given you a forgiving soul
That forgets every transgression in whole;
Request it be given you a hopeful mind,
For with this all on earth you'll find.
