Preachings Of The Truth Poem by Rebecca Mummery

Preachings Of The Truth

Rating: 5.0

People wrapped in their blanket of perfection,
The world at their feet, whilst the world is on another's shoulders,
Make no comparison, fate is wicked.

People wrapped in their dark, twisted veil of pride,
For pride is only their self-recognision,
Laughing down the rows of street lamps,
As their pride is only their mental condition.

Look up, and misty fog is watching over you,
Look down, and see the eroded ground before you.
You're contributing to mankind's complacent ways,
So lose your stubborness, and let the presence of another dimension move through you.

Dare you contemplate life in a grim vision,
Dare your mind be drawn in by the possibilities,
What you thought is in the mind of everyone,
Cowering flesh... they will never admit this.
