Many have come to the guru of rhyme,
And this query all have had each time:
"Tell me how masterful verse to craft;
The surest tips to finest poetic draft."
And the guru, all modest and meek,
Has this to say to all that come:
"Practice your ink day and night,
Labor hard with both pen and paper,
Even when comes your way slim favor.
On lean days and on those of plenty,
Let your quill on tireless gliding be!
Pen at least a line on the day of cry,
And on that of death and pain alike try
To balm your soul with an ode or two.
All these tenets be sure to observe.
And yours shall be a reward at last;
For those eternal children of Muse
Shall not the crown of fame refuse!

Fabulously charming and instructive and an excellent reminder to a poet and a writer of any kind that the way you get better at your craft is to Do It - Rain or Shine!
