Profit From Poetry Poem by Andy Barrette

Profit From Poetry

Sometimes it's hard to be productive
when there is so much to do.
I also want enough free time
for every day I'm working through.
Normally, in keeping habits,
I am far less diligent,
and yet I think it right to stress
on how my time is daily spent.

I'd like to make a decent profit
on the things that take my time.
After all, isn't there money
to be made in making rhymes?
So even though it hurts me so
to stick with writing in this book
the prospect of an easy pretty penny
seems to have me hooked.
