Proposal Poem by krishna kumar

Proposal

I went, she stood there in the park,
The time is little close to the dark
Both suited well for my proposal
Yet i is worried about her refusal

I saw her countenance at a few distance
Little love lingering in it gave me the confidence
Yet something prevented me from moving near
Her simple NO will cost my life, i fear

Through her, i learned about love- A beautiful art
But i don't know what lies underneath her heart
This thoughts changed my mood all of a sudden
They added weight to my heart. It collapsed with this unendurable burden

I went near and said to her 'i love you'
She said 'i don't'; this, i never wanted to be like so
I stepped back and I stumbled,
Are you still alive, my heart mumbled.

Then she smiled came near and hugged; she at last told
'I don't want anything to lie in between us including love', finally she was in my hold.
