Disgraced, the peacock retraced its steps.
Upon seeing his reflection in the pond
He thought he was the prettiest bird
With a flowing eye-spotted elaborate train
And his body covered a brilliant blue;
He showed off his best whenever it rained
When he would erect his train tall and wide
And let out his loud intimidatory call.
Pride and vanity were his prime faults;
As the only mount of the God of war
When needed, he could not lower his train.
He supported the throne of the Infinite Light,
And he forgot he was the emanation of God.
His not elegant feet upset his faith.
Disgraced, the peacock retraced its steps.
