Psalms Of Celtic Poem by Daniel McDonagh

Psalms Of Celtic

The angel Gabriel
Paused in his flight,
And settled on Parkhead’s roof
To watch the green & white,
The songs of Celtic
Warmed his angelic soul
As he soared to heaven
Singing of the green, white & gold.

Return O Lord
The passion and the spirit
That we have welcomed
Of those in a Celtic strip,
Raised once more
The Celtic battlecry
As we will support the Bhoys
Forever, until we die.

On holy ground I will stand
With a Celtic scarf in my hand,
As Irish saints softly pray
For the faith in each Celtic man,
On Parkhead’s soil, we watch the Bhoys
Wear the colours of emerald green
And the songs we sing, at every game,
Has St.Patrick smiling when he dreams.
