Pumpkin To Jackolantern: A Comparison To Life Poem by Bonnie Joe

Pumpkin To Jackolantern: A Comparison To Life

first its bear, open to ideas.needing insprition to fill its blank body.then comes the planning. all ready to carve.then you start, cutting little by little. then you stop and stare, marvaling at the fruits of your labor. then you set it out in the end, and relax to your hearts content. kind of like life. you start by planning and then you retire.like when your candle burns out, the jack-o-lantern gets thrown out and buried in the landfill.just like when you get put in a casket and buried in the ground.
