Puppet Show Poem by Isak Boyd

Puppet Show

I'll be whoever they think I am.
Dancing through life's puppet
shows and mockery,
but the pain runs deeper
than lying words and
false pretenses,
and the truth cuts
through me like
a lion's claw:

I love you still

but wish I didn't
